Back the Blue Law Enforcement Scholarship
Bridging the Gap for Veterans Foundation is pleased to offer the “Back The Blue” Scholarship to a military veteran who is a candidate for a Law Enforcement Career and in the Police Academy.
Career areas include Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Paramedics. The scholarship is a $500 dollar scholarship payable to the selected recipient(s). Scholarships are offered 2x per calendar year in June and December.
The Back The Blue scholarship consist of the following:
- Scholarship Application (request application from Bridging the Gap)
- DD 214 Service Record
- Two letters of recommendation
- Essay explaining why you deserve this scholarship
- Phone Interview
To be considered for the scholarship the entire application must be submitted with all supporting documents to Bridging the Gap corporate address. The Bridging the Gap Foundation Board of Advisors select scholarship winners and will notify each selected candidate. Specific details are included within the application, so make sure that all instructions are followed. The completed application must be submitted to Bridging the Gap for Veterans Foundation by June 30th and December 31st.
